We celebrated our son’s Bar Mitzvah this past Saturday at your club. Despite a change in the caterer half way through the planning phase, the event went off without a hitch. Wendy Levine was a pleasure to work with as the catering coordinator. All of the staff was exceptional in making sure that everything was done according to our wishes. The food was delicious, from appetizers all the way through dessert, definitely exceeding our expectation. It was a wonderful party and we’re very happy that we don’t have a 4th child! Even the bartenders made sure that the underage teenagers behaved themselves (my 17 year old son and his cousins)

Gentlemen: Yesterday we celebrated the 55th Reunion of our West Philly, Class of January 1955 at your facility. It could not have gone any better! About 90 of us gathered for 5 hours of fun, food and memories. Your entire staff was a big part of our success. Everyone we worked with was poised, professional and, best of all, helpful and responsive. Wendy Levine was our primary contact and she’s all you could want as a representative of Bala. We had some last minute adjustments (these events always do) but your people were there to handle them in an exemplary and timely way.
I met Bill Johnston for the first time yesterday morning and he not only directed your personnel but personally worked together with them to ensure that all went exactly as we wished. The food was excellent and the layout and décor of the room was just right.
In my professional career with GE and Sunoco, I ran events from this size to entertaining several thousand at major sites in the US and abroad. I’ve never received better service and I thought you should be aware of it.
Thanks for everything that Bala and its employees did to make our Reunion a resounding success. As the Governor of California once said (in another life), “I’ll be Back”.

Dear Gary,
I would be remiss if I did not write and compliment the catering staff.
I arranged for my high school’s 55th reunion to be held at Bala.
Wendy, Dan and Bill all stood up straight and performed like an orchestrated symphony.
Nothing went wrong!
Everything was perfect! Even beyond my expectation.
It was a pleasure to have the event at Bala and I assure you, my 60th will be there too.

Dear Chris:
As you know, we celebrated our 45th anniversary with a party in the Flynn Room on November 28th. We cant let this event pass without letting Bala members know how totally pleased we were with our evening.
Working with Wendy in the planning stage was a pleasure. We met at our convenience several times. Wendy was very helpful with her suggestions and enthusiastic about working with ours. She made it all seem very easy. As to the evening itself, everything was executed just as planned. Wendy was on the scene to be sure that everything went well, despite having several other affairs to tend to that day.
The servers were incredibly helpful and well trained in their various tasks. The food was excellent. We continue to get rave reviews about the food (and this from people who are used to good food). After the wonderful hors d’oeuvres, the buffet was set up quickly and beautifully.
We couldn’t have asked for more. Kudos to the Bala Caterers!
By the way, not to pass over the final detail, you were in hand at the end of the evening to wish us well and confirm that everything went smoothly. Thank you.

Dear Wendy,
Our company just left, and Jeff and I are about to go to NY for a two-day whirlwind with visiting relatives. But I just had to take a moment to thank you again for giving 200% of yourself to make Zay's bar mitzvah party a total joy for us. Throughout the process of planning, you were accommodating and pleasant, and totally supportive and helpful. We changed the menu 180 degrees two weeks before the event, and you didn't blink. You let me store huge boxes of sweatshirts and 20+ flowering plants in your office for days, and you treated me and my mother-in-law to a delicious lunch while we were there to do our arts-and-crafts on the centerpieces.
Then, when the day came and turned out to be the blizzard of the decade, you absolutely pulled out all the stops to make it magical. Your colleagues and staff, including Dan and everyone else, were helpful, pleasant, accommodating and gracious. Your flexibility made all the difference: the whole timeline had to change, and you just smiled. The chocolate fountain you had ordered for Zay never arrived, and someone ran out in the snow and bought different chocolate that Dan melted for decadent fondue. The food was delicious, and the service was exceptional. We could not be more grateful. Zay had a wonderful day, and we all did. Your attitude made all the difference.

Dear Mr. Barletta:
Last Saturday evening we hosted a dinner dance event at Bala Golf Club for the third consecutive year. This year, under the able supervision of Wendy Levine, Catering Sales Manager, the experience surpassed prior years in terms of food quality and presentation. From the crab appetizers to the chocolate torte, the food was delectable. Wendy was present at the event to personally oversee the details, and I had the pleasure of meeting her. My colleague in charge of planning the event from our end assures me Wendy was a delight to work with from beginning to end.
We have happily agreed as a Board to enter early discussion with Wendy to sure up a reservation with Bala Golf Club to host our event next year. Recognizing the exigencies of this financially difficult year for organizations both for as well as non profit, our success should be celebrated together. The “can do” attitude and collegiate atmosphere we enjoyed at the Bala Golf Club helped us enjoy a successful event all around.
Kudos to you, Mr. Barletta, for providing excellent leadership.
